Fred Barnum and Paul Celillo built BCE with the intent of becoming one of the premier electrical contractors in the industry. BCE was founded on their three core principles: integrity, dedication and craftsmanship. We believe that our success cannot be measured by simply looking at a financial statement; it will be measured by the success of our most valued assets; our clients, our team members, our community and the environment we live in.

The success of our clients has allowed us to grow from a concept between friends to one of the largest electrical contractors in the western United States. Our clients have come to rely on the commitment and stability we provide them, enabling us to not only retain, but to add to our client base even through the most challenging of economic times. Enhancement of our team members’ personal and professional lives represents the heart and soul of this company. This family environment created by our founders has fostered an atmosphere of pride within the company. This pride translates into a level of craftsmanship of the highest standard. Each member of the BCE team strives to ensure that our core values are at the forefront of our work. Our entire field staff are either California State Certified journeymen or are currently enrolled in a State-approved training program. Our team members development never stops; we are continually refining our craft by staying on the forefront of technology and latest code revisions. We are qualified, motivated and ready for any challenge.

Environment:
Barnum and Celillo Electric is committed to being innovators in preserving the environment. We were one of the first facilities in Sacramento to take part in a pilot recycling program for businesses. The success of this program has grown into a practice that has been used county-wide for decades. We further our responsibility to the environment by recycling the material from our job sites, and assuring all materials are disposed in a responsible manner. Our Advanced Energy Department is one of the leading installers of solar power throughout the state of California, providing over 500 megawatts of photovoltaic solar power to the end user. BCE continues to push the envelope by implementing the latest technology, maximizing the efficiency of alternative energy solutions and power management.
